Hey dude. That shade of blue is my favourite colour! I love that type style on the word 'you.' Is it hand-drawn in illustrator, or an existing typeface (if so what is it! ).
A few things:
In my opinion, the stroke is a little too thick on the groovy triangle. It should be around the same thickness as the hairlines on 'you', in my opinion.
The word 'very' is err... very hard to read.
The 'k' on 'thank' doesn't really fit with the Avant Garde inspired type - I'd consider making it more angular.
The swash on the 'y' could do with some love, the counter could be smoothed out on the left hand side. As it passes behind the descender it would be good if you could keep it in line - it seems to bow out a little.
I can't give a formal critique like the site provides to subscribers but I can try to do an informal one.
Pros: +The differences in the fonts give a picture that is both aesthetically stunning and boldly impacting. It really leaves an impression in ones mind. +The colors are absolutely wonderfully blended. They almost remind me of a Picasso painting like "The Man with the Blue Guitar" or something similar. It just all works together very nicely. +The message is also great; I love it. You always know the right words to put on a poster; they can be words we hear every day. Yet, you give them significant meaning by showing the differences of each word and how they form a whole beautiful meaning. If you think I am over-thinking this, then oh well.
Cons: -The word 'very' is kind of hard for me to read. If it wasn't for the title, I am not sure I would have been able to understand what it said immediately.
Thank you for another wonderful picture Forrest. Seeing a deviation of yours in my inbox knows I am definitely going to be treated to something nice today. And, that something is going to have a nice phrase attached to it. Or it will have some great meaning.
